Illinois Trails Conservancy The Illinois Trails Conservancy's Mission is to enhance the quality of life in Illinois by connecting the state's communities and country-sides with an interconnected, multi-use public trail network, and by promoting the use of trails for recreation and transportation. The Illinois Trails Conservancy was formed when Rails-to-Trails (RTC) closed its Illinois Field office in January 1999. The volunteer members of the RTC Illinois Advisory Board then formed the Illinois Trails Conservancy (ITC) a new organization that promotes and supports multi-use trails statewide. ITC continues to partner with RTC when assistance is needed at the national level. IMPORTANT DATES FOR YOU: Friends of the Long Prairie Trail Poker Run Saturday Aug 2, 2008 8:00AM to Noon
